PT10 to 11 student upgrade

I purchased a student version of pt10 and got an email saying I get a free upgrade to 11. All but one of my main plugins (ssd4) are aax. I would like to use 11 but I still need 10 for some of my mixing. If I do the free upgrade will I have to give up my 10 authorization on my ilok? I have looked all over the avid site but I can't find anything. Any ideas?
