Hi guys,
I'm a new member here, used this place for a while to get help on certain issues before, but never posted.
So here goes, I'm currently running Pro Tools 10.3.7 on a 2013 macbook air into an Mbox 2 Mini and keep getting the "-6104 cpu holding off usb audio" error when trying to run my output to the Mbox, however it works fine if set to built in output and played through my Airs internal speakers.
It's not as if I'm running any heavy processing or anything either, it gives me the error when trying to run just one stereo track with no plug-ins at all to the Mbox.
My playback engine settings are;
H/W Buffer - 1024
Processors - 4
CPU Usage - 85%
Delay Compensation - None
I've tried changing these up a fair bit and still it doesn't seem to get any better.
I've also started to notice that occasionally when playing audio from say Spotify or iTunes to the Mbox it gets progressively noisier the longer it plays, i.e pops and clicks as if there are some data drop outs or errors occurring somewhere.
Any thoughts?
My only ideas ar that either A- Mbox is on it's last legs, or B - The macbook airs USB 3.0 ports don't like playing with the mbox over usb 2.0
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and as I said this is my first post.
If i have missed anything out or made a daft mistake please forgive me
Cheers
