as an opening subject line like the above might indicate, I am a little overwhelmed with the world that is Pro Tools. it took me 5 minutes to figger out howe to make a post here for heaven sakes.
whatever...
Hello to all and sundry, please welcome another newbie to the rank and file.

I have been making home recordings since there were cute little Fostex 4-track cassette machines back in the 80s. I graduated slowly into analogue computer recording and survived that trauma. Now though as we waddle/wade/whinge and whine along in our brave new digital world...for me? not so much. I struggle a great deal.

I am, therefore, hopeful that there will be a few kind and patient souls herein who can helpfully get a ninny like me off on the right track (yes, yes, horrid pun).

I should also mention that I have used various other Cakewalk-y, Sonor-ish, packages. In the back of my mind I always wanted to see what the fuss about Pro Tools was about. I am not without some experience, simply without Pro Tools experience which is about the same thing I guess. *grin*

Like most of us at this point. I simply do not respond well to poorly worded, smart-alecky inquiries. I generally do not answer the at all. Do try and keep it light and easy going in exchanges with me.

Thanks!
Nice to be here.
Dave
