using edirol pcr-1 audio interface in protools le 8

I have protools LE 8.05 on 64 bit windows 7. I was given an Edirol PCR-1 USB audio interface and unfortunately, version 8 of protools only works with digi-design hardware and will not start unless it finds it connected. Couple of questions...
Would upgrading to protools version 9 allow me to use this interface? Is this upgrade still available? If so, what is the cost of the upgrade?
