core audio drivers

hello, my name is christopher, i'm from italy and i'm new to this forum so i hope i've posted my thread in the right section.
what i want to know is if the core audio drivers are specific for mac computers or if there are such drivers also for windows based pc's?

the fact is, i bought an mbox pro, but the dirver cd wasn't included because the pro tools software i didn't need was sold separetly.

i downloaded the drivers but i'm experiencing dropouts on my pc. right now i don't have the specifics of my laptop because i'm writing form another pc.
