Crashed while recording midi tracks

Hello everyone!

If I record more than 4 bars or so, on a midi track, pro tools freezes. I have to reopen the program, just to get the same problem again. I can only complete a midi track if I record 2 to 3 bars at a time. But that's a pain! And nothing like that happens when recording audio.

Can anybody help please:confused:
