2 pitch-bend questions

Hi,
I was wondering...
(1) the max interval for the pitch bend is 1 whole-tone up or down. Is there a way to change it to larger intervals (like major third)?
(2) Is there a way to select a region and define the beginning and ending values for the pitch bend, sort of the same thing that you can do in the tempo ruler to change tempo?

The resolution of the pitch-band is quite impressive - it's 8192 values for representing a whole-tone. But it's kind of disappointing if you can only work with the pencil - which cannot give you accurate values. Maybe I miss something here, I'm new to Pro tools...:-)
