I was going through some presets in Kontakt 4.2 recently and noticed that the audio output would suddenly pan all the way left. It seemed to happen when the instrument was receiving a note off, but it was not happening every time... I checked the MIDI Pan automation, but it was set to center.
I sent a note to NI Tech Support, who responded telling me to edit the Instrument Options (found by clicking on the spanner/wrench icon) select the Controller tab and deselect the item "Accept standard controllers for Volume and Pan". This seemed to do the trick, although it's aggravating to have to do this for every instrument I load (and to save the instrument to make the change permanent).
All well and good, but now I'm seeing similar behaviour in other VIs -- IK's Sampletron, for instance, and one time when using Boom. So now I'm wondering if this is some obscure bug in PT 10.3.x, or maybe I'm just unlucky... Has anyone notice this happening in VI tracks? Any permanent fixes?
