Hey guys, I hate this effin problem.. there's gotta be a fix, because this is just straight up stupid.
I often import session data from other sessions to get plug in settings from another song that has similar sound. So for example, I match up the drum tracks and import the drum bus and cool, all my drum sounds are in place on this new song. Maybe I'll also import a reverb track and a delay track or something.
BUT, when I reopen the song, half the time the bus routings are all jacked up!! Now my drums are all routed to a slapback delay, and half of my sends don't have names anymore, they're just going to bus 19-20 or whatever other random thing.
THIS SUCKS. My mix is all whack and I am lacking confidence that it is the same as how I left it. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a better process for this? Seems pretty basic to import a bunch of track settings and a few verbs/delays/etc to have a good starting point for a mix. Seems pretty basic that a session should reopen the same way it was when you saved it...
UGH. I thought we were pros?
