Saving Presets and .psb Files
I recently downloaded a .psb file of presets for the PSP 85 plugin. However, when you load them via the .psb file it overwrites the stock presets. Then if I want to use the stock presets I have to reinstall the plugin.
PSP support reminded me that I can save all the presets to Pro Tools, and hence have access to both the stock and third party.
Is there a way to save multiple presets at a time in PT or do I have to go the tedious route and save each one individually?

How to run EuCon over Ethernet while accessingInternet over Wifi?
Hi Everyone,
I'm setting up a brand new iMac (just a few days old and free of any collected software junk) as the new core of my small home studio.
I decided to start with EuCon, since I've never quite mastered it on my older computers, and have thus always had connection glitches with my control surfaces. So I figured on this new machine I wanted to get it sorted out first before setting up anything else.
I'm trying to run a pretty simple setup. Just a single Artist Mix and a single Artist Transport. I thought I should set up a dedicated Ethernet network for EuCon, so I have a NETGEAR WNR2000v5 router with just the MC Mix, MC Transport and my iMac connected. Its set up as a DHCP server and assigns IP addresses to all 3 connected devices. When this is the only networking I'm doing, things seem to work well. I have EuCon set up properly in System Preferences, EuControl runs just fine and everything seems to talk to each other just great. Things appear pretty solid and stable.
Then I tried opening Safari and realized that it wasn't connecting to the Internet. I had my WiFi connected to my regular home WiFi network and figured that the MacOS would just sort things out, run the Ethernet on the side and use the WiFi for regular Internet access. But obviously thats not the case, which is why I'm here writing this now. I tried changing the preferred order of networks (System Preferences -> Network -> Gear Icon), but everytime I'd put WiFi above Ethernet I would get Internet access but lose the EuCon connections.
Obviously I'm missing something. My IT and COmputer Science days are pretty far behind me, and lets be honest even back then it was trial and error half the time. The initial instinct was to improvise and compromise, to get everything on the same network, and that does seem to work. But it also doesn't seem right. I don't need the control surfaces to be on the same network as the 50 or so gadgets I have talking to each other all over the house.
So whats the right way to do this? How do I get the EuCon stuff to work smoothly over Ethernet, while talking to the outside world over WiFi? BTW, I did try setting up a manual static IP for the Ethernet and it doesn't change anything. It still works fine when WiFi is either turned Off or set lower on the priority order, and then collapses if WiFi is turned on or chosen as preferred. How do I make the Ethernet and WiFi coexist and mind their own business?
I'm also open to looking at things any other way. I can get a different router, or a switch if needed. I think I'm trying to run a very basic EuCon setup here and just want it to be rock solid, while still having Internet access. How would you do it?
BTW, just to make the troubleshooting easier I want to add that I'm running the latest version of everything. As I said the iMac is fresh out of the box running 10.13.2, I've installed the latest available EuCon and updated the firmware in the control surfaces..

Setup second S3L & İnput sharing ?
Hi friends.
Tomorrow im gonna make show in my stage via second avid S3 L console (rent).
I know basic connection between i/o box (basic daisy chain).
But i dont know any idea how can i make stage/input sharing ?
İ have some question about it;
1- For input sharing do i have to make setting in menus ? my os 4.5.3.3
2- i dont know rental avids os if its not same with my setup, is it make problem ?
3- How can i manage Gain control between two avid (1 foh, 1 monitor). İ mean how can i manage wihich one master which one slave.
4- İf i dont make redundant connection between engines is it make problem ?

audio Pops & clicks outside DAW
I get occasional pops or clicks or breaks in audio outside of PT when using a Steinberg UR242 audio interface. For example: I'll be watching a youtube video and all of a sudden there is a break in the audio of like 1 second. It only happens every 5 minutes or so but it is still annoying and I don't think it is supposed to happen. It happens even if I don't have any other programs running besides chrome (for the youtube video), so it's not like I'm pushing my laptop over its capacity (I think).
This is my setup:
-> one month old HP PAVILION POWER 15-CB002NB laptop:
-> 2 yamaha HS7 studio monitors

Tracking Latency/CPU Spikes
Hi all, I've been in PT10HD land for years but decided recently to get a PT12 vanilla licence & experiment with native tracking/mixing.
Ive been following this forum for years with folks complaining about CPU spikes etc, but I didn't realise quite how poor native PT performance was compared to (for instance) Logic X.
I created a very simple session. Just a single track of Waves guitar plugins , a click track, a master Out bus & a couple of send effects.
Fo testing purposes i used an Apogee Duet (USB)
At 64 samples buffer size, PT12 couldn't even handle this without CPU spikes.
Just leaving the machine sitting there, the CPU meter would just jump up to 100% all on its own & cause a dropout (see attached screen grab).
.f.y.i this is a new clean install of PT 12.8.2 & Waves Horizon bundle with all updates applied.
Is this just the state of things, or should I be getting better results than this?
Grateful for any simple suggestions (other than reinstall everything).
Ive got a brand new 2017 MPB sitting here too waiting for a PT install when i get an hour, so will test that too when i get a chance..
I'd be happy to send anyone the session if they wanted to test on their system.

Video Track Output Settings Greyed Out
I have an AJA I/O 4K that worked great perfectly well before 12.8.2. Now the video track output settings is greyed out and I can't send to external video monitors.

Unspilling VCA Group
Hi,
I simply dont get it.
I have a VCA Group, lets say severel OTs, which i want to unspill by attentioning the VCA Master.
Well it does, but in this case only OT5-OT13.
It doesnt start from OT1 and i cannot navigate inside this spill.
If "Automatic Spill of Attentioned VCA" is on "Spill Zone Left" it works.
Is this a problem of my 16 Fader Setup ?

S3 and Dante Virtual Sound card?
Wondering if S3/Eucon will work through a USB3 Gig E adaptor? I have the Apple TB to Ethernet adaptor as well, but I'm hoping to potentially use THAT port for Dante virtual sound card. My thought is a mobile recording rig with DANTE inputs that can do a mix with the S3 simultaneously. My other option is another TB to Ethernet (Since the MBP has 2 TB ports) but wasn't sure if that would overburden the TB bus. Any thoughts?

C|24 Stereo Speaker set up!
Hi, I am new to the forum.
Always have been helped out tremendously by tips and insights that you guys are throwing. Didnt get to thank you until now!
I recently purchases a C|24 unit.
We as a start out sound/media company, wanted to utilize C24 as a main contol surface.
As I was learning as I go, I was encountered a very novice question.
When connecting stereo monitor speaker L and R to C24, using DB25 to XLRfem, XLRm coming out of my speakers to 1-3 of DB25, right?
For now we only use two monitor speakers, so if I buy a cable with 6 more XLRfem, I thought it might just stat there and not being used.
There are two Alt-Out line output so I attempt d to plug speakers directly into those, but I couldnt get any sound, however I couldnt think of going into I/O in my PT and configure.
Long story short, if i were to connect two monitor speakers to main output of c24, buying a DB25 to XLRfem would be the best solution?

Seeing Plugins
Hi ,
I know this is probably silly simple but it driving crazy! Sometimes when I click on a plugin it won't show its self......I have to press shift at the same time. I know shift is for opening more than one plugin but this happens even if no plugin is revealed.

Midisport4x4 doesn't show anymore
Hi everyone. just bought a midisport 4x4, connected the unit to my computer and opened protools 12. Created a midi track and could see all 4 ins and outs in the track. Went to Setup/Midi/MidiBeatClock window and enabled midi for all 4 ports. And then when I went back to my PT edit page, my midi track was inactive. I created a new midi track but it doesn't show the midi ports anymore. Went back the the midi set up window and the device does not appear anymore. When in the midi studio setup window, the device appears like disconnected. Checked the usb and it is still connected to the computer. Anyone knows what is going on? Thanks!!

My PT HD subscription expires on Dec 15. Does this mean I need to renew ON the 15 or BEFORE?

Reason 5 with PT12 ? (MacOS)
I'm pleased to see that my ancient version of Reason 5 still runs fine under MacOs Sierra.
Should I be able to use it with PT12?
I just copied over the app bundle from a mountain lion partition & put the auth code in. It runs fine standalone, but alas no 'Reason rewire' plugin show up in PT12.
Does anyone know if there is a solution

Waves DLS or DLI + Impact Server?
When I compare the specs the DLS has a bit more horsepower (not much). Right now price wise, identical if

I own Waves Horizon and most other Waves plugins and run PT 12 HD Native with 2 Digidesign 192 interfaces on a 2010 Mac Pro 12 core, 64GB RAM.
What I'm having a hard time getting my head around is running in I/O mode vs SGP mode. Why not just blow off the HD Native card and run SGP? Am I missing something? Anyone know the pros and cons?
I wish the prices were just a lil bit sweeter and someone would actually make a demo video worth a dang on YouTube. Waves, if you're listening, I volunteer.

Sound wont come out of Protools 11 yet Interface is selected
I been editing music just fine in Protools 11 for a long time and today all of a sudden it started acting up. I opened a session to master and it was good. Once I finished that I opened another session I started mixing this week to continue and when I opened it I heard no audio. I the closed the session and checked another project i had just completed and didnt hear anything. I then checked playback engine and my interface was selected. Resetted my interface, protools, even computer. Nothing. I then checked a session I did in the summer and I heard audio just fine. Reopened the master session and then I heard no audio that I just heard. Now Im just aggravated. 3 sessions wont play audio and everything else is fine. Playback Engine says my interface and I tried changing the buffer size. Audio for the rest of the computer works fine. I can also see the audio coming out of the Master Channel in Protools so Im lost....has someone experienced this? What could it be?

Freezing rewire tracks?
Ive just upgraded to Reason 10.
Was experimenting with rewiring into Pro Tools, & there doesn't seem to be any way to freeze tracks over rewire.
Is this by design? Or am I doing something wrong.
Pro Tools 12 & Reason 10 working together as they should be otherwise.
(apologies mods, posted first in Virtual Instruments forum, might be better here but couldn't see how to delete other thread)

AAF from Media Composer w/muted clips
Trying to figure out why when I get an AAF from editorial with muted audio clips, they are not showing up as muted when I create a PT session from that AAF, they just come in as fully un-muted, normal clips.
However, when the same AAF is sent to the SFX team, they ARE showing up as muted.
SFX Team is on PTHD 12.8.0
I'm on PTHD 12.8.2
Is this a bug with 12.8.2? Or am I missing something that I should be doing on import? Not seeing any preferences or options that would relate to this, but maybe I'm missing it.
However, when the same AAF is sent to the SFX team, they ARE showing up as muted.
